Beautiful scenery. I do not recommend driving down the steep valley road. It is a one-lane road that can be dangerously treacherous.

One of the most unique spots in the island. Water World was filmed here. 4 wheel drive required to go down into the valley. Use caution.

Waipio Valley is ultimately breath taking and a most definitely must see while visiting here on the Big Island.

Breathtaking sacred valley. There is a lookout, or if physically fit one can hike down into the valley where there are wild horses, a black sand beach, and a waterfall. In addition there is a shuttle/tour one can reserve. Waipio shuttle.

“Beautiful view of the valleys. This is the other side of the valleys opposite of Waipio valley. Here you can enjoy the view from the lookout or take the hike down to the beach. *not great for swimming”
