Papamoa Beach Tavern
Now known as The Island, excellent pup food, good price, live music in their garden bar during the weekend
A pub for all that has shifted through the times from farm town Papamoa to the thriving metropolis it is now!
Now known as the Island but locals still refer to it as the Pap Tav. This place has long been an establishment with great pub food and beverage options to suit, including their own beers and ciders brewed on site.
The iconic local “Pap Tav” with a refresh makeover. Good bevies and grub. Nice outdoor spot and good for the kids too!
“Domain Road approx 7km. Two large Supermarkets (Countdown or Pak n Save), Banks and ATMs, variety store, Food Hall, tavern (Papamoa Tavern), Petrol Stations (“Z” full service) and Pak n Save (discount if you shop), plus a range of stores to meet daily needs.”
“Can be hit or miss, I have had amazing meals from here and some not so much.”
“Our local.....a 6 minutes walk from the guest house is one of the best Papamoa restaurants and bars, we love it and dine there often. The Locals think of it as their second home, somewhere that they can go for a good time, eat great food and enjoy the company of friends and family in a great atmosphere and that’s exactly what they are all about. Everyone’s welcome at the PAP House so bring the whole family down or just yourself. Order some delicious food from the menu, treat yourself to a few drinks, choose to sit inside or outside in our sunny outdoor area and have a great time.”
“If you want to cook at home, Don Jarvis butcher has extraordinary meat. There is a wonderful fish shop as well in the Papamoa Centre. ”
“This is a great spot to get a bit of exercise in. You'll find it well worth your while when you see the sweeping views of the Bay of Plenty coastline at the top! ”
