The parc called "Regele Mihai I", known as Herăstrău, as it was it's name for decades,it's the biggest one in Bucharest, the greenest one and most loved by the locals. It offers You a rich and diverse vegetation, multiple playgrounds, a big lake in the center( with possibility of renting a boat)…
I recommend you to visit this park because it's the biggest park in Bucharest, is a nice place, quiet, for a chilled walk around the lake.
You can enjoy the biggest park in Bucharest by bike, walking, or by boat (on the lake inside the park). If you are here, stop by the Arch of Triumph.
Nice for boat rides in the summer, or picnics, good playing spots for kids, nice scenery.
Great place to have a walk and chill , maybe some food at the restaurants (high prices) . It has various objectives near it like Triumph Arc which is a smaller version of Paris's Arc de Triomphe
filled with bars, clubs and terraces; lots of things to do around. you can rent a bike.
The biggest park in Bucharest, Herastrau surrounds a lake and is packed with cool bars, terraces and restaurants.
“Unirii Square - from here you can take a walk on the boulevard until the Palace of the Parliament. Allegedly unfinished, yet still boasting an insane 3000 rooms, you have to pay to get an inside tour of this crazy place, yet can gawp at its sickening size and opulence from the outside for free! In old city center of Bucharest there are a lot of restaurants, where you can taste the traditional food or whatever you’d like.”
“Cișmigiu gardens are the second public parc after Herăstrău, situated very close to the historical city center also close to the city Hall and Sala Palatului concert Hall. Here are hosted numerous fairs and concerts and in the winter You can skate as the central lake becomes one of the most beautiful and vibrant skating places in town. It is also very close to the University Square, another icon objective. If You are visiting during spring season expect yourself to be delighted by the wonderful scent of all the flowers landscaped with such great love and attention. If You explore IT by winter, You should have a taste of the mulled wine, oh the sweet gingerbread or all the other romanian specialites based in meet amd cheese:mici,cârnați,sarmale,mămăligă,murături,brânză de burduf,cașcaval afumat, etc”
“It's a big place with 3 level of spieces. It has a large collection of exhibits from the fields of biology, science and zoology”
“pietonal area, perfect for nightlife but also for nice walks in the historical center of Bucharest.”
“Rebirth Memorial in Piața Revolutei, the Romanian Athenaeum in Piața Romană and the Triumphal Arch all deserve a special mention on this list of the best things to do in Bucharest. In between Revolution square and the Athenaeum is the impressive Fundatia Universitara building which is worth stopping by for a look. Out front is the enormous equestrian statue of King Carol 1st, Romania’s enigmatic king.”
