Catch the bus to the tip of Point Nepean, see historic buildings, pioneer cemetery, and walk along the stunning coastline.

National Park with forts, memorials, extensive nature trails, lighthouse and sweeping views of the bay and Bass Strait. Incredible history and highly recommended.

Nepean Nation Park, Portsea, is situated on the southern tip of the Mornington Peninsula where the historic military structures and tunnels can be found, and unmatched views of Port Phillip Bay and the South Australia Coast.. There are bike tours through the park which let you explore the parks coastal trails at your own pace. My children loved visiting Fort Nepean which was a defensive facility built in1873 to protect the narrow entrance to Port Phillip Bay. The barracks and tunnels are great fun for the kids to explore but make sure you catch the shuttle bus provided as its a long walk for small children.

The great place for a day out in cooler weather days. Bring your walking shoes, food, water & camera. Great comfortable 2 -3 hour walk with seaviews & lots of history. Shuttle bus for $12 return is another option.

See a mix of beautiful landscape, some of the best views across to Queenscliff and out to Port Phillip Bay Heads combined with a rich history (military forts and tunnels & historic Quarantine Station & the memorial where Prime Minister Harold Holt went missing). Walk or ride along the trails or catch a shuttle bus.
