The most famous cathedral in Kiev is Vladimirsky. The main temple of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church was erected for 20 years from 1862 to 1882. The temple, executed in the Russian-Byzantine style, inside is richly painted by famous artists of that time: V. Vasnetsov, M. Nestorov, M. Vrubel, V. Zamirailo, S. Kostenko, N. Pimonenko.
