A hand-built castle by a Colorado native. No entry fee. Cooler weather and great views.
We love this place! We even were able to speak with the owner while he was working on the castle.
A bit of drive from Colorado Springs, about an hour and half it is a place worth seeing. Jim Bishop built the entire castle by hand. Pack a picnic and climb the iconic towers up to the dragon's head. Free to the public.
This is a must see! Mr. Bishop built the entire castle by himself and it is amazing! It is free, however donations are requested. About 1 1/2 hours from here. Definitely worth the drive.
This is a hand made castle you can climb all over. It's free with a suggested donation of $5 per person in the donation box. Jim Bishop has spent his entire life building the castle in the mountains and continues to work on it daily! A must see!
