The views from the Pisgah Inn are amazing! You can see from Lake Toxaway, on your right all the way to your left to Hendersville. We were told that on a clear day South Carolina was visible! The gift shop has a variety of quality souvenirs including Biltmore wines. The food was good too.
Nice stop along the parkway for a view and drink. There is a restaurant but I would stick with appetizers and hit Asheville for better food. Only open April-October. Check website for exact dates.

“This may be one of my all time favorite places to get above everything and just take it all in. It is a longer hike but it is worth it if you have a day to hike. Bring food/snacks and water.”
