Escadas do Codeçal
The way you get around the historic center is always special. You can get there either near the entrance of the top slab of D. Luiz Bridge (at the left) or near the lower slab of the same bridge. Normally I do recommend to start on the top. :)
If you’re up for a small challenge, walk up (or down) the Escadas do Codeçal. You’ll endeavor through ancient Porto, pass a beautiful baroque church and walk under the Ponte Luís I. By Amass. Cook.
“A good option for lunch in a modern place with creative food, mostly from organic source. ”
“one of the primitive ways to get to the city in the XIII century, and an emergency getaway to escape an attack from the north. For me, it's a quite special way to arrive to the riverside. Remember that the way down it's always easier.”
“If you love to go up or down using stairs this is the perfect neighbourhood to reach Ribeira. ”
“The activity starts at the meeting point with a greeting and layout of the activity. After meeting up the group will be walking (2min) to the first bar, where the first 2 drinks will be served. Every 45min/1h the group will head to the next bar, where the following drink will be served. We pick the city's best bars and clubs, guaranteeing a fast VIP entrance ahead of queues! At each place the guide will hand out the drinks and assure everyone takes care of their nightly thirst! The last venue visited”
“Restaurantes like casa guedes, républica dos cachorros, Santigo (for the famous francesinhas) and many other local restaurants where you can try local traditional food.”
