A very good (and James Beard-nominated) American-Italian ristorante and pizzeria from the folks who brought you The Red Hen and Boundary Stone. There's a strong selection of cold antipasti (Sicilian tuna mousse, stracciatella bruschetta), hot antipasti (fried baby artichokes, eggplant parm), plus salumi, and then there's the star of the show: pizza. The latter is made in a deck oven, and chef Mike Friedman adds malt powder to his dough, which gives it a slightly sweet flavor. Desserts come from Buttercream Bakeshop and include soft serve ice cream.
The pizza is a little pricey ($15-20) but the pizza is quite good (Michelin star good apparently). It's an 8 minute walk.
