Definitely visit one of the city hills. A bit of uphill walking but view from the top is absolutely worth it.

One of the 7 Plovdiv hills with a statue of the Russian soldier on the top. There are couple of playgrounds for kids. It is a nice place for a walk in summer time.

Alyosha Monument at the top of Plovdiv's second biggest hill... nicely forested trails and city views. Great spots for chilling any time of the day or night.
