Museo de Arte Moderno
I'm in love with this museum, I know is not the best one in the world but I have been going there since I was little and the Mexican surrealist art is to flip.
Very close to Museo de Tamayo, opened in 1964, el Museo de Arte Moderno has one of largest and most well curated modern art collections in the world. Free entry on Sundays.
Create. This museum is my favorite. It is not small nor big, its exhibitions change constantly, and it is next to must-go places too! So, this museum is the perfect excuse to get to that part of town, not get tired, and explore all the beauty that Reforma, Polanco, and Chapultepec have for you!
“It is one of the fenomenal three museums in Polanco and one of the best in the the country regarding our prehispanic cultures.”
“Founded and named after the famed Mexican artist Rufino Tamayo, the architecture of Museo Tamayo is as fascinating as its impressive permanent collection and rotating, curated expositions. Well established in Mexico City as one of the best and most accessible modern art museums, it features a range of photography, sculpture and paintings. Find it in the lush Bosque de Chapultepec and close to the historic center. It houses a restaurant and an amazing design store, if you are hungry or craving for some shopping do not forget to visit here it's really close by to the Co-Living”
“The only Castle intended for a real Monarch in the American continent. Maximiliano from Austria”
“The Soumaya Museum contains the Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim’s private collection of art, sculptures and other items. Painters such as Picasso, Renoir, Dali, Van Gogh and many notable Mexican artists feature in the exhibition. The collection of more than 66,000 pieces has been split into two buildings due to the sheer quantity of items; one in Plaza Loreto, which is itself a stunning piece of modern architecture, and the other in Plaza Carso. ”
