Bald Rock makes for an easy stop off the road leading to Caesars Head State Park and the cute NC town of Brevard. Hop out and take advantage of a quick, gorgeous photo opportunity. Accessible for most--but be careful as the rock can be slippery.

This isn't really a hike, but an easy roadside pull-off spot with a large exposed rock face and great views. Some folks get a little startled at the spray paint defacement. We take sidewalk chalk instead. Also this is a fun spot to take a picnic lunch and enjoy the view. And just a little further up…

Stop at this overlook on your way up to Caesar's Head State Park and Raven Cliff Falls.
