Ogden Museum of Southern Art
Just a great museum! If you happen to be so lucky to be staying on a Thursday evening, the Ogden hosts the "Ogden After Hours" which runs from 6-8pm it features live music and a few cocktail bars. Enjoy the Art, Music and have a drink as you explore the museum. Great views of the city from the roof…
My personal favorite spot for regional art. Skip NOMA, go here! Thursday nights are open late for performances and viewings, check their calendar for events!
The Ogden features local artists from various periods. They often have music on Wednesday nights.
Spend a day in the Warehouse District in the Ogden's beautiful collection.

““New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA), the city’s oldest fine arts institution, opened on December 16, 1911 with only nine works of art. Today, the museum hosts an impressive permanent collection of more than 40,000 objects. The collection, noted for its extraordinary strengths in French and American art, photography, glass, and African and Japanese works, continues to expand and grow, making NOMA one of the top art museums in the South.” -NOMA.org *While you are here, you can’t forget to visit the Besthoff Sculpture Garden.”
“beautiful place to relax, free wifi throughout the park, some of the oldest giant oak trees around, drenched in mysterious Spanish moss and Resurrection ferns! ”
“LUNCH/DINNER - Cochon chef co-owner Stephen Stryjewski, winner of the 2011 James Beard Foundations "Best Chef South" award, pays homage to the old style Cajun Boucherie at this must-eat Warehouse District restaurant. Order a moonshine-based cocktail and dig in to platters of housemade charcuterie, including boudin, andouille sasuage, smoked bacon, and head cheese. Local seafood also stars in succulent crawfish pies and roasted gulf fish "fisherman" style, along with comfort foods including spoon bread with okra and tomatoes, roasted oysters and suckling pig”
