A proper pub - complete with old toppies propping up the bar, beer on tap, sports on TV and friendly barmen who remember your face. The best place to catch a big Rugby game (arrive early or book a table at the back for pals). On street seating for smokers is also comfy and convenient. The food is good for soaking up the beer - but its nothing special.
