It feels like a raw old converted workshop in this little gem of a store that sells work by the owner, Kate Ellen, and other jewelers from the Bay Area and around the country. You can get a hip, nontraditional engagement ring, and you can get $60 earrings. It’s in the charming Old Oakland neighborhood near several other boutiques with Bay Area products. Kate’s work uses textured metals and has a natural look. Giovanna Torrico makes classic modern earrings with vintage beads. And Maral Rapp makes necklaces and earrings in an Art Deco style.
