Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park Campground
Beautiful old growth redwood trees (Sequoia sempervirens), nice hiking trails
I know it's not an art gallery, but it mine as well be. The showcase of the diversity of our Monterey Bay underwater is jaw dropping. See jellyfish, great white sharks, octopus, and there is a special area for small chilren to learn and run around. this is in Monterey 40 min drive
enjoy the beautiful Redwoods in Henry Cowell. There really isn't anything like these old, 100Ft + trees
Beautiful & easy redwood loop walk just shy of 1 mile long. Adjacent to Roaring Camp Railroad.
It's only 20 min drive to see some big redwood trees. I recommend the Redwood Grove Loop, it's short, sweet, easy and worth the outing to see the redwoods if you aren't going to see some elsewhere on your trip.

“Lovely was to spend some time downtown. Not only the museum but many restaurants and shops. Enjoy people watching. ”
“Challenging historic golf course. $$$$ Just a few miles away. Great bar and restaurant. ”
“As funky and campy as it gets- this place is HUGE with international visitors- it is a huge optical illusion that is fun to see and experience- the ride up to the Mystery Spot (up Branciforte Rd) is a beautiful drive.”
