Very cool area to check out old bunkers hidden in the hills and learn about the pirates and lookout points of coastal NC. Keep your eyes on the water in the evenings and watch out for the dolphins!
if you like nature then this is a place you can go for a stroll along the water. i like that I'm right in the end of the island. nearby is the Pier where the ship can take you to the other side of Myrtle beach.
“Food and drinks on the water. You can sit on the pier over the ocean and enjoy a frozen drink or bite to eat. Indoor seating available too. ”
“These donuts are listed as the #3 best donuts in the country. They only offer glazed, they are freshly baked, the lines are long-but quick and worth it, and they only take CASH! The hours you read online are not always accurate but they are open during the season - 7 days a week. Then they go to weekend only, then they close for the winter.”
“This hole in the wall is a local favorite. The walk-in fridge is where you get your own beer from their huge slection, then bring it to the bartender, or order from the bartender (limited liquor options). Lots of fun nooks and crannies to hang out in, with games, or sit outside in their super unique courtyard. Recently built a stage for live music. You'll certainly make friends here!”
“Food, seafood, drinks, outdoor volleyball courts, cornhole, live music, kid-friendly, pet-friendly (in some areas). This place is fun for eating or just-drinks. There's always something fun going on here.”
“Across the river from Downtown Wilmington is the Battleship USS North Carolina. Walk the decks and imagine what life was like in naval warfare during World War II. A true historic icon located right in Wilmington. Make this a must see!”
