“The Museum of Anthropology is the most visited museum in the country, containing one of the world’s largest collections of Mayan artifacts, from pre-Columbian Mexico and pre-Hispanic civilizations up to the time of the Spanish conquest. The museum is located in a building designed by Pedro Ramirez Vazquez in 1963; a piece of architectural artwork itself.
