Sitting at our dining tables made from reclaimed wood, you'll enjoy classically-influenced cocktails or one of 24 drafts while enjoying a refined take on classic comfort foods made from wicked fresh ingredients.
The hot spot of Kittery! Their deviled eggs are 100/10. Don’t like deviled eggs? You will after you try these. “The Black Birch is built on community; it is a small, cozy restaurant. At times the room becomes noisy and raucous as friends, neighbors, and strangers meet and gather to share a…
This is one of our favorites! Small plates for sharing or entrees. Must tries are the deviled eggs, poutine, duck rillette and if you like manhattans try the bedstye. They don’t take reservations so highly recommend to go down and put your name in and they’ll call you. So walk around the foreside…
Venture down to Kittery and order a variety of dishes — you will regret nothing. I’ve never had a bad bite of food here. MY FAVORITE.
This spot is #1 in our book and apparently people who will drive from Boston to eat here, agree. Go for snacks when they open at 3:30 (conveniently timed for end of shift at the Portsmouth Naval Ship Yard) and stay for dinner. Otherwise, be prepared to wait because they don't take reservations. That…
Small but upscale and casual local place. Be prepared to wait for a table. Worth it. Hard to find because the locals just KNOW where it is.
“Crullers are amazing. 1.5 mile scenic walk through town and into Maine. Or a 5 min drive.”
“Like Korean food? This is the place to go in Kittery. Fresh, local ingredients. Kim chi galore. Open for lunch and dinner.”
“This place requires its own category. Perhaps, file under "Top Notch Craft Cocktails"? Yet there is only one Dram. This is a cozy, limited seating establishment that escapes notice, like a secret portal to another universe. Everything, besides what comes in a bottle, is handmade; the bitters, the garnishes, the mixers. The menu takes time to absorb...take your time...find your libation. Don't embarrass yourself by ordering "white wine" or a "beer"...I scoff when I hear that. This is a cocktail emporium. Have a cocktail or leave a seat open for someone who is serious. Limited bar menu and snacks. If you're on the wait list at Black Birch, they'll text you...its just across the parking lot. Its actually a fabulous one- two punch of an evening.”
“Our friends (who are big beer people) drive miles for releases from this Kittery brewery.”
