Really worth visiting as the caves are very impressive.Turn left out of the village and continue towards Harrogate. The caves are located between Pateley Bridge and Grassington on the B6265. The cafe also serves good food (triple cooked chips) and in the summer they have a cute icecream van where you can just pull up and get the best icecream sundaes and cakes www.stumpcrosscaverns.co.uk

A different experience. Go down under the Moors and explore the caverns. Fascinating and worthwhile.

This is a little way out from Harrogate but has lovely scenery to look at on the drive out. Once at Stump Cross you can go into the cave and follow the well lit walk through all the Stalactites and Stalagmites. There is a cafe that has lovely home made cakes, lots of flavours of ice cream and warm meals for the colder days.
