If the dome is open when you visit, you have to check out the beauty of the interior. You can buy a Starbucks drink and sit in the dome, just enjoying the music and historical architecture. The grounds, gardens, and stables are also unbelievable!
It's hard to describe this jaw droppingly beautiful dome-shaped hotel, built in 1900 and honored as a nationally significant hotel. You can relax in the dome, have drinks and food, play cards, read, people watch. The hotel campus (with French Lick) has many activities for kids, as well. Good pools…
A must see hotel, just sit in the dome with a bottle of wine or a cup of tea and take in all the history
The stunningly beautiful wonder of the midwest. A "don't miss" place to visit. Take the historical tour.
“A big family style sampler is memorable and delicious. Just order what they recommend and you won’t regret it!”
“The lake has everything a typical lake, state park, campground, or marina has, but with the added seclusion and untouched beauty that most recreation areas don’t possess. Start with a drive to the marina to feed the gigantic tame fish, and see where your curiosity takes you from there!”
“This is a nice attraction to Patoka.. You can try their wine slushies or a glass of wine, they will quench your thirst!!”
“Delicious made-from-scratch Italian. The Gnocchi is particularly amazing. The wine tasting experience is also very enjoyable. They are known for their wine, but they are launching into the national scene with their bourbon.”
“Fun place for college reunions, bachelor parties, bachelorette parties, large adult friend groups. Then back to the Lodge to count your winnings! (Have a pot of stew or lasagna in the oven in case you don't have $500 to pay for that expensive dinner you were planing having at the casino?) :) ”
