Chiang Mai 10yrs+ most famous Thai North Eastern (E-sarn) style restaurant. Try Papaya salad (Somtum) and Minced pork (Larb) Open daily 09.00-21.00 Close every 20th each month

Bit out of the way, but one of the best restaurents around. Great prices, a great range of delicious food. Be aware that they close at 9 pm. Be there early.

Huge restaurant, Great menu specializes in Som Tam, (Papaya Salad), many, many varieties. Small Thai dishes, grilled meat.

If you like a bit of sweet and sour and can handle your spice then this place is a must, most famous for what it is named for; its green papaya salad but they serve an array of great dishes also
