The most amazing Maya site out of the 60 I've visited. Tons of wildlife, great hiking trails, and Ca'ana is still the largest man made structure in Belize.

Caracol is a large and impressive Maya site, located on the southern side of the Mountain Pine Ridge in the Chiquibul Forest. There are often howler monkeys hanging around the centre of the site, and some of the Maya buildings are seriously impressively - with wonderful views from the top of the largest structure.

The largest Mayan ruin in Belize. It's claim to fame is conquering Tikal! About a 2 hour drive from our property... but you get to go through the Mountain Pine Ridge to get there - a gorgeous drive, and lots of places to stop including waterfalls and caves.
