This huge mural pays homage to the acclaimed artist Joan Miró. It was made in 2004 by Barcelona-based graffiti artist Sixe Paredes, who’s famous in the post-graffiti scene, and it was the first mural made for the project Ciutat Vella, by Arcadi Poch. The mural is in a street parallel to the Rambla del Raval, which is full of great places to eat. My favorites are the delicious sandwiches of Madame Jazmine and the Turkish kebabs of Kilim.
A centre for the study and dissemination of Joan Miró's work and the contemporary art
When traveling to Barcelona, you will inevitably come across art works by the artist Joan Miró: when you arrive at the airport, you will be greeted by a huge mosaic of Miró and the city's most representative bank, la Caixa, has a star created by the artist in the logo. Visit this museum created by Miro himself in 1975 to house his own work and those of his contemporaries.

“CaixaForum Barcelona is a cultural center located in the mountain of Montjuïc (Barcelona), occupies the building of the old Casaramona, a modernist style factory designed by Josep Puig i Cadafalch at the beginning of the 20th century and subsequently rehabilitated for its new use as a cultural center . “Surely "the" museum to visit in Barcelona. For the artist and for the building. Imagine Montcada Street, in the Gothic quarter, five mansions united to form a museum, lovely to visit. About Pablo Ruiz Picasso the museum is essential to understand his formative years. The genius of the young artist is revealed to us through more than 3,500 works that make up this permanent collection.”
“Built for the International Exposition of 1929, El Pueblo Español is an attractive space in which the most beautiful corners of some towns in the Spanish geography are represented. During the day you can visit it and during the night is plemty of discos and pubs.”
