Sitting in the courtyard of this hotel is like being in a film from the 1950s. The building is enormous, and you’ll be surrounded by greenery, peacocks, and cannons from the time of the Spanish rule. Before the Cuban Revolution of 1959, many famous mob bosses would meet here: Lucky Luciano, Mayer Lansky. This is the place to have a beer, looking out on the waterfront. For a light lager, try Cristal. Another Cuban beer that’s stronger and will quickly go to your head is La Bucanero.

My favorite experience while in Cuba: drinking a mojito, smoking a cigar, listening to music and feeling the ocean breeze while sitting on the veranda of the Hotel Nacional. Nothing else like it!

Cabaret Parisién - This is a great Cabaret show. Intimate and easier to see the dancers up-close. They have beautiful costumes and choreography and a wealth of talented dancers.

Best mojitos (& best espresso) in a fabulous terrace by the sea! An old world hotel with a degree of romanticism and great history. A must see. You can use their pool, ATM, gardens & travel agency.
