Union station is a 15-minute car or Uber ride. You can also take the 97 bus there or metro there. The metro stop is Union Station on the red line.

The building and the roundabout in front is a must to see, also to touring the neighbourhood. Also, of course, if you want to take the train to NY or other places too :)

Union Station D.C. is a superbly restored, historic, mixed-use, intermodal transportation and shopping center located just blocks from the U.S. Capitol Building. Here is where you could find popular DC tours including the Old Town Trolley and Big Bus Tours. The metro Red line takes you directly from our neighborhood to Union Station.

$ - cheap(er) eats are in the food court in the basement if you're sick of DC prices. Shake Shack, Chipotle, Chop't Salad, Cava and more are here on the ground floor. It's also a mall and our Amtrak station. I think there is a parking deck here but have never used it. We just street park in a particular place we can show you if you want.
