This beautiful park is less than an hour away! Climb or drive to the top of Mount Battie for awesome views of Penobscot Bay and beyond.

Camden Hills State Park is a 5,710-acre public recreation area overlooking Penobscot Bay in the town of Camden, Knox County, Maine. The state park features multi-use trails to Mount Battie, Mount Megunticook, and other scenic locales.

Climbing or driving to the top of Mount Battie gives you a fantastic view of Penobscot Bay and the nearby islands of North Haven and Vinal Haven. There are also some lovely walks and hikes within the park.

One of the most beautiful views close to Searsport. On a clear day you can see Blue Hill, Acadia, all the islands in Penobscot Bay, the Camden Harbor...just gorgeous, gorgeous. Good hiking trails, but wear good hiking boots. It isn't a good hike for slippery sneakers. You can also just drive up,…
