Do check out Avrupa Passage for souvenirs. This little shopping arcade has some interesting things on offer. If you explore this street in the late afternoon you can finish up with drinks and meze on Nevizade Sokak.”
“Built in the 16th century, this famous mosque takes its name after the daughter of Ottoman Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent and Hurrem Sultan, two prominent figures in the Ottoman history. The mosque was designed by the famous architecht Mimar Sinan. Some sources say he was in love with the Sultans' daughter and he was inspired by this love when designing this mosque. Mihr-i Mah also means the Sun and the Moon, another feature of this mosque that makes it special: from some high spots such Bayezid Watchtower on the European side, you can watch the Sunset in the evening and the Moon descending in the morning in between the minarets”
