Only open through August 2017 :/ An offshoot from the restaurant, this shop has a good selection of take home meals, freshly made juices and coffee, and local artisan consumables including bread, soap, coffee beans, and pastries.
Great place to work and treat yourself with super salads and sandwiches. It is hard to go wrong with any selection here. $10 is the average entrée price. Long communal table is filled with wifi users connected for work and entertainment.
It's a neighborhood favorite. Chef Matt Balke does great work. Tuesday nights are 1/2 price bottle of wine nights, that with a flat bread is a great dinner.
My favorite restaurant in Dallas - Experience is worth the hike to Bishop Arts, locally sourced and grown food, a Dallas must! Lots of natural light, beautiful wooden tables, and dishes with character. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. $15 mimosa bottles & $5 mimosas.
This one is definitely a drive, but it's only 10 minutes away and there's plenty of parking. This place is farm-to-table and has a good drink list. It's also walking distance from Bishop Avenue which has some good bars, restaurants and shopping.
This is my favorite afternoon workspace. There are big tables, it's usually not crowded, and they serve legitimate (not normal coffee shop) food, coffee, tea, even beer!
“One of my favorite old-timey music venues. The Kessler specializes in Americana/folk music acts.”
“The atmosphere is warm and inviting! If you like meat lovers, try the pig smiley. You won’t be disappointed! ”
“Several thriving Dallas locations make this a go-to favorite. Great Latin cuisine, margaritas, outdoor patio seating. An easy walk from Searcy House.”
“The owner of the home aka my brother, along with a few buddies who he worked with in the restaurant industry opened Nova about 10 years ago. Nova features an eclectic, chef-driven menu with ever changing nightly Chef features as well as a full bar. Nova combines great food with a comfortable atmosphere, serving as a place our guests can meet and eat, congregate and collaborate, in a setting that reflects the style of the neighborhood.”
“Get to your movie early, grab a drink at the bar and walk around this great and strange theater. On certain nights you can see bands play behind the screen, check website for list of events. Www.texastheater.com”
