Located near the Saint-Sulpice church, this is my first Parisian shop. You can find all of the products I’ve created with my team: fine pastries, croissants, macarons, cakes, chocolates, and ice cream. It is one of only two boutiques with the full range of our offerings, and we’re open Sundays. One of my signatures is the Ispahan collection, with pastries composed of lychee, rose, and raspberry. I recommend starting with the cake, which is available all year round.
In my opinion, Pierre Hermé is the best pastry shop in the city. Try the “macarons au beurre salé” or macarons au jasmin (jasmine)
Pierre Hermé started his career at just 14 as an apprentice to Gaston Lenôtre (see below) and made a name for himself early on in France, Japan, and the United States as the “Picasso of pastry,” revolutionizing pastry making by embracing bold new flavors, sensations, and pleasures. His macarons…
Very well known pastry. The emblematic cake is the Ispahan and the Rose Macaron. But so many other nice things... There is a new shop Pierre Hermé just in front our building Bd St Germain, not yet registered for this guide.
The best in our opinion: Pierre is a magician. Our favorite is the Infiniment Vanille cake. We cooked one once — took us 8 hours of work over two days! You can also try his Macarons, which are the best in town (Pierre Hermé used to be the pastry chef at Ladurée). Go to the original rue Bonaparte…
“They have shops in a few other places in the city, but I like the one in the 6th best. This is the place to buy your macarons in Paris. ”
“Best macaroons in Paris. Stunning desserts that are a joy to look at, and to eat of course. ”
“Famous French café. Expect to see older cool French people and hip tourists come here. It’s a place to be seen so the price tag comes with it. ”
“Just next to Café de Flore, beautiful view of the Saint-Germain church. Best for a drink with a relaxed atmosphere ”
