Located right on the St. Joseph river, the Crooked Ewe is a local favorite for craft beer. Rated #4 on Trip Advisor in South Bend!
A prized home brewer turned pro, Crooked ewe has great views of the Saint Joesph River. Their high end food menu will not disappoint the foodie in your group. Located in an old FOP completely renovated. Only drawback is the kids/family area is much separated (on the second floor) from the great…
Best menu in town. They have two menus, one vegan and one for everythig else. The menu needs an interpreter in most cases, which calls for the friendly wait staff they provide. The beer selection is modest but the offerings are all very enjoyable. The ambiance is intimate and not to be passed up.
Local ownership and local brewer (owners also have equity in Fiddlers Hearth), their beers are amazing and they serve platters of rich decadent foods like smoked meats (smoked on premise), cheeses, burgers, etc all done in a unique way that matches nothing else in South Bend. If you like IPA's you…
“The closest brewery to the Home, they offer lightning lunch 7 days a week which is a self serve all you can eat buffet.”
“Cafe Navarre is one the finer dining places in the area. They have an excellent selection of fish and vegan style plates.”
“This is probably our favorite local bar. The food is yum and the locally brewed beer is always good. They also donate a portion of each beer sale to a local charity and you get to vote for the charity you prefer by dropping your bottle cap in the designated jar. Drinking while doing good? Heck yea!”
“This is a great place to take a book or your laptop and just enjoy a warm beverage and light meal or to meet with friends. The food is yum and the atmosphere is cozy and friendly. ”
“The history of Rocco's is a love affair. Love of family. Love of good friends. And, of course, love of great food. Rocco's started over 60 years ago and today the Verteramo family continues a tradition of pride in serving the family's delicious Italian recipes brought over from Reggio Calabria decades ago.”
