The Bird's Nest - Cabin by the River

Located on one of the Seven Bends of the Shenandoah River, the Bird’s Nest is a brand new, custom built 800 square foot cabin featuring an open loft with king bed and skylights, steam shower, heated bathroom floor, and gas fireplace. Exterior amenities include a hot tub, gas grill, gas fire pit table, fire pit by the river, and private river access in a peaceful, wooded setting. Kayaks/tubes are available to use to float down the river with the unique ability to park/exit on the hosts’ property.

A perfect family getaway from the city in the heart of Virginia Wine Country, 15 min from Shenandoah National Park, 30 min from Charlottesville. Private cottage on 265 acres with 3 mi. hiking trail, overlooks 2 ponds/playhouse offers complete farm experience. Walk to swimming hole on river, canoe/fish in lake, feed peacocks/ goats, collect fresh eggs. Great sunsets. Fire-pit. Close to wineries, breweries, Montpelier, Monticello - only 1.5 hrs to DC/Richmond. Pet friendly. Tour included.

Daytrip to Snowshoe, The Greenbrier or New River Gorge! Leave the rat race behind and immerse yourself in nature.

Four sets of wrap around glass doors provide panoramic views! Great Room open to kitchen & dining. Upstairs has 2 suites w/kings, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bedroom Loft w/ladder, & hall bath. Enjoy mountains, hot tub, campfire, & stars. Property has private swim pond w/floats & treehouse! High speed Wifi & 72" TV. We may approve 1 dog w/cleaning fee.

Or venture out to Shenandoah National Park, the local coffee shops, eateries, wineries, and breweries. Whatever you choose the bunkhouse is stocked with roasted coffee, farm-fresh eggs, fresh-baked bread, teas and soaps from our incredible local homesteaders and artisans.
