It is walking/bicycling distance from Downtown, Fort King George, Historic square, Harris Neck Wildlife Refuge (Great for wildlife photography) Parks and Waterfront also Restaurants and Shops. You'll find everything you need inside. Open living area, fully equipped kitchen and dining area. The bedroom has a queen size bed, private bathroom and there is an available washer/dryer. Perfect cottage for you and a companion.

Painted Bunting Cottage-Sapelo Island Birdhouses

Visit a pristine, undeveloped barrier island just south of Savannah, where you'll find history - both Gullah-Geechee and Native American. Where Sweetgrass baskets are still hand-crafted and you can visit Indian mounds which pre-date the pyramids in Egypt. The Cabin at The Old Parrott Place is ideal for one or two people to stay overnight or for a week. It's rustic, but clean and comfortable, has a king bed, a claw-foot tub, an outdoor shower, a microwave, toaster, small fridge and complementary coffee and tea. Rocking chairs on the porch allow you to spend a little time outdoors enjoying the country air or listening to the birds. *Please Note * There is NO WIFI.

This is a comfortable home in a quiet neighborhood graced with Spanish Moss draped Live Oaks. It is walking/ bicycling distance from downtown Darien, historic squares, parks, and waterfront as well as shops and restaurants. Kayak and bike rentals are available close by. The home is one hour south of Savannah and 30 minutes to the lovely beaches of Jekyll and Sapelo Islands. This area is certainly a birder's paradise!
