Great snorkeling. Go in the morning when the water is crystal clear. Sit on the rocks to put your mask and fins on and walk on your hands through the shallow water through the channel to keep the water clear.

Many experienced snorkelers enjoy Two Step more than Kahaluu. This is a 30 minute drive south. The coral is better here but this is for those comfortable in deep water. If you swim past the Aloha spelled out with concrete blocks to the deep blue waters you may encounter spinner dolphins.
The nightly star show at the ranger station is amazing. Wear warm clothes because it gets very cold after sunset. Arrive about 30 minutes before sunset to get to the viewing area to watch the sunset. Then stay for the sky tour and look through the telescopes to see Satuns's rings.

Notice the statue of Kamehemeha in Hawi and continue on to the end of the road. The hike down is not too long and I highly recommend for those with good knees.

The falls are nice and the walk to them is enjoyable but don't forget to stop at Mr. Ed's in Honomu. In Honomu continue on the main street just past the turn to Akaka Falls and you will find the most amazing Banyon trees. Their shade drops the temperature by 10 degrees.
