Best coffee we tried in town. The taste is very reach - the bitterness you like in coffee which you can balance with milk, but most importantly it doesn't have a sour aftertaste. We like their cortado or pure espresso shots.

The atmosphere is absolutely fantastic. While not leaving out much of the famous cosines (French, Southern, Mediterranean and more) they also manage to have something for each diet (vegetarian, vegan, gf, etc.) Our favorites: Avocado Toast and the Staples Breakfast. The most unique thing is that it is a flower shop within a cafe! But the beautiful plants and flowers are not the only distraction, you also need to watch out from the adorable and tempting pastries that are aligned all the way to the registrar.
A bonus fact: this place is one of the downtown buildings that were purchased by Sandra Bullock to preserve them, and this cafe owned by her!

If you feel like eating fancy, but more importantly tasting creative and unrepeatable food that is inspired by the Japanese cosine, I highly recommend to visit Uchi (or Uchiko, another branch in north Austin). Eating there is a world-class experience, but beware that the prices are corresponding.

The highest "mountain" in Austin, considered to be a nice spot for a short hike (really short ~ 20 min). From there you can have a very nice scenery over the river and the pretty houses that are located along it. A recommended spot for a picnic and pictures.

While I wouldn't send you so far for the touristic food at the Oasis restaurant, the scenery is definitely worth the drive! lying your eyes on the endless lake will take all your troubles for a moment and unveil a peaceful vision that you would not expect to see in Texas.
