You can access this 4400 acre park by walking out our back gate! Trails take you up the mountain for gorgeous views of Monterey Bay (strenuous) OR go for a run on the loop at the bottom of the park. Visitor Center with small museum for the kids within a 15 min walk from the house. We have a trail map that you can borrow.

62 CA-1We love Point Lobos for beautiful and diverse views. Easy to walk this one, and just 2 miles south of Carmel on Highway 1. Views of the Big Sur Coast and also Pebble Beach Golf Course! You can spend an hour or 3 hours exploring this large State Park.

Rustic French/Italian. This is our NUMBER ONE RECOMMENDATION for dinner (or lunch)! Nice patio with heaters and lovely inside as well. A good variety of offerings and everything tastes great and is reasonably priced! Their wine by the glass comes in a cute carafe and is a larger pour than most! Located just 10 minutes from the house. MAKE RESERVATIONS!

A great place to go for lunch or an early dinner after you go wine tasting at Georis Winery just a few steps across the street. The wine is good, the vibe is cool, and they give you bread and cheese with your wine flight! 10 minutes from the house!
This is our favorite breakfast place and only 5 minutes from the house! Everything is good here and large portions with reasonable prices. Lots of interesting daily specials too. Fun to sit on the patio if the weather is nice (and dog friendly outside). Buy some of his spiced pecans, they are one of his specialities!
