Great water park, excellent fun for the whole family. Take a picnic and enjoy the slides and pools. Check the local petrol stations/shopping centres as there are frequently offers. Tickets sometimes include a free 2nd day and/or entrance to the Terra Natura Animal park which is also worth checking out, preferably with a trip back to the pool to cool off !

Great place to visit, with various museums including the military museum. Lovely pedestrianised centre with lots of great restaurants and shopping. Visit the Castelo with great views and peacocks, or the amphitheatre. Loads to do.

Lovely fishing marina. Ideal place to visit for Scuba diving lessons or excursions. Some great restaurants on the harbourside catering for all tastes, with lovely fresh seafood. Some of the small beaches in the area are wonderful for snorkelling. Nearby Cala Reona is great for sunbathing, swimming, paddle boarding hiring pedalos, also has a great beach bar.

Cape Palos
Lovely fishing marina. Ideal place to visit for Scuba diving lessons or excursions. Some great restaurants on the harbourside catering for all tastes, with lovely fresh seafood. Some of the small beaches in the area are wonderful for snorkelling. Nearby Cala Reona is great for sunbathing, swimming, paddle boarding hiring pedalos, also has a great beach bar.
Great beach, on the Med just north of the Mar Menor. Couple of great beach bars serving fresh sardines, paellas and tapas - one of our favourite beaches around 25 mins from the apartment

Another great place for a full day out. Around 40 minutes drive away and has some great beaches particularly on the far side of the marina heading towards Aguila. The Marina has lovely bars and restaurants and a great atmosphere to relax after a day on the beach. Could combine the day out with a trip to the Cabo Tinoso gun instalments between Cartagena and Mazarron.

Mazarrón
Another great place for a full day out. Around 40 minutes drive away and has some great beaches particularly on the far side of the marina heading towards Aguila. The Marina has lovely bars and restaurants and a great atmosphere to relax after a day on the beach. Could combine the day out with a trip to the Cabo Tinoso gun instalments between Cartagena and Mazarron.
There is lots to do in and around Los Alcazares and frequently fiestas in the centre of town. Great beaches all along Los Narejos, with great beach bars and lovely relaxed atmosphere. There is everything from Golf Deluxe (crazy golf), Go-Karting, supermarkets, shops, restaurants catering for all tastes from English, Indian and Chinese, if that's your thing and some good Spanish restaurants where you can enjoy a good 3 course sunday lunch for around 12 euros !

There is lots to do in and around Los Alcazares and frequently fiestas in the centre of town. Great beaches all along Los Narejos, with great beach bars and lovely relaxed atmosphere. There is everything from Golf Deluxe (crazy golf), Go-Karting, supermarkets, shops, restaurants catering for all tastes from English, Indian and Chinese, if that's your thing and some good Spanish restaurants where you can enjoy a good 3 course sunday lunch for around 12 euros !
