Best simple Italian fare in RVA. Basically a take out place but there are two small tables inside, not much of a dining area, just a place to sit. Pizzas, sandwiches, salads, desserts as well as Italian pantry products to entice you to try and copy cat their menu (but no one can).

Very good value and selection of local favorites such as oysters, po boy sandwiches, fish tacos and much more. Bar scene is lively, booths for dining are comfy and good for conversation, back patio has garage doors which when open provide fun people watching as folks stroll by.
Above Pearl there's a nightclub which is often going strong into the wee hours. Entrance is on the street next to Pearl

Short walk to one of the newest pizza and beer places in RVA and my opinion, one of the best crusts around. Owner is a graduate of VCU and has done a super job training his staff to deliver great service and are very knowledgable about their menu, food and brew.
