My personal favorite restaurant in Greensboro. Lucky 32 has a catfish dinner that is to die for, and their brussel sprouts are perfecto. Though on the pricey side, if you're looking for a truly filling southern meal in an upscale setting, Lucky 32 is the place to go.

Taste of Troy has only been around a few years, but they've quickly become a renowned hole-in-the-wall for amazing Mediterranean and Greek cuisine. It's a great place to grab lunch, and their baklava you shouldn't leave without—even if you take it home for later.

Aldi is a German grocery store chain that has made waves establishing itself in the States. You won't experience a typical American grocery store by visiting here, but you'll certainly get what you need, and under budget. Too, don't forget to bring a quarter if you plan on using a buggy. That's how you remove them from the stack, and your quarter will be returned to you when to put the buggy back. (It's a thing German's do to keep buggies from floating around the parking lots. Smart if you ask me.)

This is undoubtedly the most underrated place in the Triad—and not just for kids, either. You can easily spend an entire day at the Greensboro Science Center, and leave still feeling that you missed something. Besides the aquarium and zoo, they've got a sort of zipline/ropes course called SKYWILD. It's a ton of fun (and a ton of exercise). If you're interested in going here, ask me more about it. I've a good friend who works as an aquarist there, and I'll see if we can't give you a unique experience.

What CAN'T you get at Costco? It's a buy-in-bulk business model, where you're sure to save some money. This is also a place to grab a quick bite to eat if you've a membership. It's unbelievably cheap.
