There's usually hangi available too.... And the best place to buy local craft beer... Local arts & crafts also available.

A great turn out of excellent local talent for food (a wide variety of cooked ready to eat treats, baked goods and fresh fruit & veg); ask Marty for a freshly squeezed organic juice & further in, check out the smoked fish... There's usually hangi available too.... And the best place to buy local craft beer... Local arts & crafts also available.
This is certainly a favourite of ours!
Close to home, this well established vineyard with cellar door is consistently a superb experience for ourselves and our guests: beautiful setting, family-run establishment, great service, excellent food & wonderful wines. Well worth taking the time to do the complete wine tasting too!

Close to home, this well established vineyard with cellar door is consistently a superb experience for ourselves and our guests: beautiful setting, family-run establishment, great service, excellent food & wonderful wines. Well worth taking the time to do the complete wine tasting too!
Always excellent gourmet burgers and sides! Salads also available, great service, licensed and well worth spending the few extra bucks on!

If you're after quintessential Kiwi "fush and chups", this is the place and much better than those in town. We'd recommend going for simple "snapper and chips" (ask for them well cooked) … Otherwise there is a heap of other takeaway items to choose from.
It's also the home of the "10 scoop ice cream challenge"....

Traditional hot sulphur springs in a rustic environment (so much better than the sterile ones in Rotorua!)…
Pools vary in heat and one can be assured of a good soak and an excellent night's sleep ahead...
Great value for money and usually open until 9pm, so a great way to spend a cool evening....

There's also NZ owned New World a few minutes further.

We tend to get fruit & veg' from home, local roadside stalls & the Saturday market.
