Pretty market town with lots of nice cafes . Market day is Wednesday. There's the old castle ruin in a park with Bebra gardens, a little hidden gem tucked away from the hustle and bustle of town next door, there's a children's paddling pool here. You can hire a rowing boat on the River Nidd; it's also a good spot to have a walk along the river banks.

Lovely park, very busy but with quiet areas too . There is a pretty walk up into the pine woods, which are particularly fabulous when the rhododendrons are in flower.
There's one of the best children's play areas around and includes a paddling pool, skate park and crazy golf. There is also pitch and putt.
Try the delicious Ripley ice creams in the cafe.

We think this area is a hidden gem, the scenery near the river wharfe is beautiful. You can sit on the river banks for a fabulous picnic. It's quieter here than a lot of the dales...maybe people just don't know about it!
