A personal favourite of Mike's, this café is a New Zealander's "home away from home" - delicious for the rest of us too.

Sightseeing
Maybe one of the best kept secrets in St Kilda, is our gorgeous little neighbours –St Kilda’s little penguins. There is a colony that lives at the end of the St Kilda pier. You’ll find these furry little guys coming home at dusk. Head down to St Kilda beach, find the pier and walk to the end. You’ll see the crowds. It is very important to NOT use flash photography, which they don’t like. We are very lucky to have this little bit of nature in our back yard. Definitely worth a visit.

Parks & Nature
Just down from Acland Street, you’ll find St Kilda beach, which has a variety of great restaurants and trendy bars. Our recommendation for dinner is the Stoke-house (make sure you book in advance). If you’re looking for a pub/bar, you can’t get more local than The Espy, a St Kilda institution that’s just reopened, to much fanfare of excitement of the locals.

5 minute drive, 20 minute walk or 8 minute tram ride (76 from Chapel Street, opposite the apartment outside the petrol station). So many great choices here... this is where we always meet our friends for dinner, some highlights - Hawker Hall, Mr Miyagi, Tokyo Tina. These restaurants are popular, so you might have to wait to get it. If you're feeling really adventurous, go into a sandwich shop called Boston Sub, and walk through the fridge... trust us, it's worth it!
