Bar Margaux is a cool, retro, French style bar & restaurant tucked away behind an inconspicuous black door. The service is great and so are the drinks. There’s also food to eat but I suggest visiting this place as an appetiser prior to a bigger meal.

Chinatown is a great place, full of authentic Chinese restaurants, alley ways, bars and even hair salons. Its a great scene at night as well. I recommend making a booking if going to a restaurant in this area.

Free Tram access to H&M and surrounding shops
Take the tram 96 (Hot pink line on the map) from the Batman park stop which is to the left of the apartment when exiting the building. This tram takes you into the middle of the city, near Myer, David Jones, H&M and Zara. You can also use this tram stop to access Crown casino, South Melbourne, St Kilda and Brunswick.

Weather
Bring an umbrella with you if you anticipate that it will rain. Make sure to also bring a jacket with you wherever you go as the weather can change rapidly and frequently within a single day. I have an umbrella in the bathroom and in the red cabinet plus a raincoat if needed.

When packing for Melbourne, make sure to pack a light yet warm jacket, very comfortable walking shoes and an umbrella. I also suggest packing a scarf and beanie if you tend to get cold easily.
