Another Clear Sky restaurant FAVE. Huge menu, everything is pretty great, the tuna nachos are a favorite, and they have an excellent Bloody Mary bar on Sundays along with their brunch. So good!! It's also right next to the beach, so make sure to head back for some time on the sand behind the Sandpearl hotel right next door (gorgeous...and they have a great fire pit for a glass of wine at sunset).

A Tampa Bay icon! The chicken and yellow rice, the black bean soup, and the 1905 salad are all to die for. And you can't miss the sangria! So yummy and just a quick drive over Clearwater beach, drive down the strip, and over the next bridge to Sand Key.
If you love local coffee spots over Starbucks, this is a great coffee shop just a short couple minute drive from the house in Belleair. (Starbucks is walkable by about 10-15mins.) If going to Belleair Coffee Company, take the direction option in google maps that takes you the back way through the neighborhoods (Jasmine Way to Druid Rd) instead of the Ft Harrison route for the prettier neighborhood scenery. Fair warning for tea lovers, they do not have a chai tea latte, sadly.

If you're looking for a fun but casual beach bar overlooking the water, Palm Pavilion is a very popular spot. Definitely drive there, too far to walk, but not far from the house at all. It's right across a parking lot from Frenchy's Rockaways which is a great drinking hole and local, casual beach eatery. All are pretty family friendly during the daytime and early evening hours before turning more into a bar scene at night.

It's right across a parking lot from Frenchy's Rockaways which is a great drinking hole and local, casual beach eatery. Caladesi is a gorgeous island with ferry access. You'll want to drive to the ferry and then take the boat over for a day trip to the island. Be sure to pack provisions. This would be great backed up to a breakfast or dinner in downtown Dunedin which is on the way.

Head to downtown Dunedin, just a short 10-15min drive (4.5miles) for tons of restaurants, shops, galleries, ice cream shops, etc. Great walkable downtown with a pretty waterfront park for kids to play, boat watching, etc.

It's in the same county as ours, but across to the southeastern side, by about a 30min or so drive (can vary greatly depending on traffic so be sure to check around the tie you plan to go). It's definitely worth the drive if you have a spare day. Tons of art galleries, foodie restaurants, waterfront cafes and parks, the new waterfront Pier, etc.

It's definitely worth the drive if you have a spare day. Tons of art galleries, foodie restaurants, waterfront cafes and parks, the new waterfront Pier, etc.
