Garden of the Gods is a spectacular site that I couldn't wait to visit when I moved to the Springs! you can simply drive through this picturesque park, and see a lot from the road, or you can choose from more than 15 miles of trails to explore and wander among these fantastic formations.
Did I mention that this entire park is free, yes FREE!
First, a great place to start is at the free Visitor and Nature Center. Here you can enjoy amazing views, great interactive museum exhibits and a wonderful movie called “How Did Those Rocks Get There?” This 15 minute movie lets you soar high above the Garden of the Gods with awe-inspiring footage and it will transport you through millions of years of geologic history. This movie is a great introduction for what you will see in the park.
So my advice to you is that if you are planning to see this amazing park, plan on going during a weekday if at all possible, especially during the peak tourist season! The park will be quieter, there will be less people, less cars and your experience will be so much better.
Balanced Rock and Steamboat Rock are fantastic sandstone formations that you’ll definitely want to see when visiting Garden of the Gods! They’re amazing!

Experience the exhilaration of Seven Falls with a high-flying adventure that propels you across “The Grandest Mile of Scenery in Colorado”. Located in the secluded South Cheyenne Canyon, The Broadmoor Soaring Adventure consists of 10 zip lines (divided between two courses) that range in distance from 300 feet to 1,800 feet as well as moderate hiking, rope bridges, and a controlled 180-foot rappel that offers stunning views of the waterfalls and the canyon below.
A 15-minute ground school allows our expert guides to fit each guest with harnesses, helmets and gloves as well as provide instructions on how to safely navigate the course. You'll also encounter Indiana Jones-style suspensions bridges, scenic hiking trails, and incredible views along the way.

Food scene
This is a great spot in downtown for tacos and margaritas!! I love it! Parking isn't always the best but you can get an uber/lyft and also explore downtown while you are there. Warning: You will want more of everything!
