The closest and most private beach to the cottage. Wonderful day trip. 1.5 hrs. Continue past the town centre a few minutes to 2 separate car parks off the main road. 5 to 10 min walk to quite isolated beach and sand dunes. First car park you can easily walk into town for coffee & ice cream. No lifeguards here and some currents possible. Sometimes jellyfish. There are lifeguards at main beach - park in town for this.

The closest and most private beach to the cottage. Wonderful day trip. 1.5 hrs. Fantastic day trip. 1.5 hours away. Great Lake (reservoir). Can walk around, cycle. We rent canoes or kayaks there (have never had to reserve but you may want to call in advance in high season) and paddle to picnic benches on far left side.
