It's an experience not to be missed. Easily the best sushi experience in the DFW area, and I must say, even better than most in NYC! It's a bit of a hike, but well "Worth" it.

Our favorite brunch place in the area. Pick your selection and find a comfy seat. They will find you and bring out your food. Service may be simple/semi self-serve, but the food is always great.

Fun and simple place for some great empanadas! Mimi is super friendly and has an excellent memory for all her customers. I'm always impressed. I love their selection of empanadas. My favorite is the chorizo empanada, with extra chimichurri, please!

Old-school All-U-Kan-Eat Korean BBQ in old K-town. Don't just pick from the buffet station only; ask for the Galbi (rib) and chadolbagi (paper-thin brisket). The waitresses are super attentive and hilarious! Like your own favorite Korean grandma. They take good care of you and make sure you are well-fed. Don't miss out! (btw...Gen BBQ in Carrollton is fantastic too, but more modern and has long lines. THIS is the place to go! Old school AYCE for the true eaters! And just an awesome authentic experience! If you are into that sort of thing)

Besides the selection of yummy pho combinations, our family's favorites are X4 (Soft Flat Noodle Stir Fry Combination), S1 (Grilled pork sandwich), and A1 (Vietnamese spring rolls). I've had a tough time finding a good Taiwanese restaurant in even in NYC and Boston. The Big D is the Best!!!

Ok. I'm originally from New Jersey, and I grew up eating a slice of good o'l Jersey pizza every day after school at the local pizzeria during high school. So I'm super particular about the quality of the crust and its thinness. Parma is amongst some of the best! (hint: they learned their craft originally from... New Jersey!!!). I know you didn't travel all this way just to have NJ pizza. But, if you are just craving some, this would be my recommendation. Enjoy! (ps. I'm spoiled now. I don't think the pizzas in NJ taste as good as Parma's. The crust is amazing, and I even eat the ends; they are of the perfect chew and not hard like cardboard)

Here is one of my FAVORITE donut shops! Go early! You might get lucky and get the maple bacon! Yum! Seriously, it's just a super awesome place with the cuteness level cranked up to 11! Feel free to ignore the cuteness and just enjoy the yummy donut. But hey, it's an experience. I bought boxes of donuts from Sara's when I first moved to TX. They were a huge hit at the office! (in case you are the Donut Boy for the week at the office, this is the place to go)
