Food Scene
One of my favorite restaurants on the island is Scuba Lodge. It's located just steps away from the apartment and it's open 7 days a week from 7:30 AM till late. They have oceanfront tables where you can enjoy your meal with your feet in the sand, and tables on the covered porch. Every Monday, there's a Chef's Tasting, on Thursdays they have a BBQ Night ($25 p.p. for 4 courses), and on Sundays from 4-7 PM, they serve authentic Indonesian satay. Must-go!

Restaurant Kome is just across the street. Kome is the Papiamentu word for “Eat”. Their food is very good and I especially enjoy their tapas night on Wednesdays. Make sure to make a reservation as this place can get crowded.

The Old Market is a local favorite! Here you can find local dishes such as goat stew, pumpkin pancakes, cactus stew and whole red snapper. It's tasty, cheap and absolutely authentic. If you enjoy your food spicy, make sure to ask for 'pika' (a typical Curaçao hot sauce).
