Convenient park nearby for jogging, strolling or picknicks. There is also a charming Open Air Cinema in the summers as well as a charming drinking spot in the centre of the park. Don't be put of by the weed dealers :)

Incredible open space, a must visit whilst in Berlin and only a short cycle from the flat! This used to be an active airport built by the Nazis...now the space is being used for different events and as a refugee center and the airport field and landing strips have been turned into one of the world's biggest open public park spaces. I also highly recommend the airport building tour - fascinating!

This used to be an active airport built by the Nazis...now the space is being used for different events and as a refugee center and the airport field and landing strips have been turned into one of the world's biggest open public park spaces. I also highly recommend the airport building tour - fascinating!
Berlin has thousands of beautiful sandy beach lakes all within an hours reach. This one here is more centrally located and a beautiful summer afternoon getaway. There is also a lovely hike here along 5 different lakes if you're into that. Ask me for details.

One of Berlin's biggest lakes...you can either go for a swim here or hire a little motorized boat for half a day and go cruising around the many different lakes and canals it connects to. Pack a nice brunch and a few bottles of beer and you'll have a beautiful day out on water jumping into the lake from your boat.

A must visit whilst you are staying in the area. Lively, colourful food, fruit & veg market on Tuesdays and Fridays. On Saturdays the same area turns into a fabrics market and over the summer it's a Flea Market on Sundays. It's located on a beautiful canal and worth a stroll.
