Best to shop for groceries in town of Marlinton Wv, Elkins Wv or Lewisburg Wv for all your grocery needs when heading to the Mtn.

Weather preperation
Weather on the Mtn. can change quickly in the Slaty fork snowshoe area there can be a 7-degree temperature difference from the top to the bottom of the Mtn. Plan for the season you are coming but always have a raincoat, or warm gear incase. Some form of hiking boots are a great choice for you feet.

Look around you and explore our beautiful area There is not a mall within miles from this destination so plan for that, board games are perfect for allowing your kids to use their minds bring some and crossword puzzle books.

Vehicle information
If you are coming to the Mtn. to see the snow or ski you will want to be sure to have 4 Wheel or an All-Wheel drive vehicle. This is a ski resort area and winter does bring snow so be prepared for the unexpected of getting stuck it can happen.
